Arnold Local History Group

About

We aim to encourage and support an interest in the history of the Arnold Area and help conserve and archive material of local interest .

Arnold has a very long history and can trace its beginnings back to the late stone age . It has been a settlement in its present position since the iron age. It has seen invaders come and go, the black death, civil war, the industrial revolution and the start of the commuter revolution have all greatly changed and formed the town..

We have monthly meetings, run courses on Arnolds history and researching family history. Hold evenings of tales and stories of Arnold in the local  pubs. Arrange exhibitions and heritage days. Issue a newsletter and publish articles on local history in local magazines.

Meetings are held monthly on the third Tuesday of the month (No Meeting December)  at 7.00 pm
