High speed trains from London St Pancras to Nottingham and East Midlands Parkway with East Midlands Railway can take as little as 1 hour 45 minutes. Their trains will take you to Worksop in the north of Nottinghamshire with stops at Creswell and Newstead, as well as the east with trains to the market town of Newark. The East Midlands Railway network operates from as far north of the UK as Liverpool and from Norwich in the east, as well as surrounding counties.
There is also a direct train from Kings Cross to Newark and Grantham with London North Eastern Railway which is no more than a 90 minute journey.
Cross Country Trains has an extensive rail network with journey’s from as far north as Aberdeen in Scotland and as far south as Penzance in Cornwall with trains connecting to Nottingham.
Northern Rail provides local, direct train services to Nottingham from Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Chesterfield.

National Express Coaches operate an extensive network of reliable coach services across the UK with services to the city of Nottingham as well as the towns of Mansfield, Newark, Retford and Worksop. The direct service from London Victoria to Nottingham takes as little as 2 hours 45 minutes. There is also a regular service from East Midlands Airport to Nottingham which takes just 55 minutes and operates 24 hours a day.

The proximity of major motorways and connecting A roads means that Nottinghamshire is easily accessible by car.
From the South the M1 and A1 provide excellent links. The M4, M5 and M42 also connect the M1 from the South West, West Country and South Wales.
From Wales use motorway connections from the M6 from North Wales and the M4 from South Wales
From the North West the M62, M60 M1 and A50 will connect you and the A1 from the North East.
There is a convenient NET Park & Ride just off J26 of the M1, allowing you to visit Nottingham without driving and parking in the city centre.

Flights to East Midlands Airport are available from Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey & Guernsey.
Train connections are available from East Midlands Parkway via a Railink shuttle service or the Skylink bus operates from just outside the terminal.
Alternatively, there is a wide range of car rental options based at the airport as well as an onsite taxi service.
