Nottingham and Nottinhamshire hosts a number of fantastic sporting events, including the Nottingham Open each June. One of the last tournaments beofre Wimbledon, the Tennis Centre often sees big names including Andy Murray, Ema Raducanu and Dan Evans.
Trent Bridge Cricket Ground hosts The Hundred and Test Cricket each year. Recognised as one of the finest cricket venues across the globe, it has acted as host for county and Test cricket since 1838 and is the world's third oldest Test ground.
The Robin Hood Half Marathon takes place each year in September. The first ever Robin Hood runners took to the streets in 1981, and since then the event has become a firm favourite in the race calendar for thousands across the country. Starting and ending at Victoria Embankment, this a unique route often takes you by Notitngham Castle and through the grounds of Wollaton Hall & Deer Park.
The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham often host the EIHL Playoff Finals Weekend in April. The fantastic final four showdown will determine who ends this season as Playoff Champions.
