Today, it's been named the UK's friendliest city and has a great LGBTQIA+ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and others) scene ready to explore. Home to several LGBTQIA+ friendly bars and clubs, along with great restaurants, shopping and a thriving theatre and arts scene, there are events to check out every night of the week.
Each July, Nottinghamshire Pride hits the streets of Nottingham, with a fabulous parade which culminates in a street party in Hockley. In February, organisations such as the University of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire's Rainbow Heritage put on events for LGBT History Month.

They are located in Hockley and often host events or join with Nottingham Pride celebrations. They are based on Broad Street, which also features the 'rainbow road'.
