Live Music
Nottingham’s live music scene has been thriving for over a decade, with stars such as Jake Bugg, Sleaford Mods, Natalie Duncan, London Grammar and The Invisible Orchestra all hailing from the city and bringing a flavour of Nottingham’s unique character to the world. Theatre & Entertainment
The city and county boast some spectacular theatre venues. Nottingham Playhouse, Nottingham Arts Theatre, Lace Market Theatre and the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall all offer a variety of diverse performances throughout the year.
If you fancy watching new film releases and eating popcorn, The Cornerhouse, located in the heart of the city centre, is one of Nottingham's best-loved entertainment venues. After the film, visit The Lost City Adventure Golf for a spot of crazy golf. Across town, in the historic area of Hockley, Broadway, a four-screen independent cinema, is another great place to sit back and see the best films from the UK and around the world.

For a truly classy night, begin your evening with a selection of divine drinks and a delicious dinner at The Hockley Arts Club, followed by the most spectacular cocktails at The Alchemist, housed in the gothic grandeur of one of King Street’s most magnificent listed buildings. Just around the corner, you can then indulge in some South American-inspired cocktails at Revolucion de Cuba. Visiting on a Wednesday? Enjoy a salsa lesson at Revolucion de Cuba, starting at 6:30pm until 9pm followed by Salsa Social until 2am - a must if you're looking to do something a bit different mid-week! Safety at Night
Nottingham has had Purple Flag status since 2010, identifying the city as offering an entertaining, diverse, safe and enjoyable night out. Operating from the Malt Cross, Street Pastors provide on-street support in the city centre on a Friday and Saturday night, helping to look after people who have become vulnerable on a night out in the city. Nottingham also has plenty of Best Bar None accredited venues, demonstrating the city's commitment to safety.
