What’s your aim like? Think you could throw an axe Last of the Mohicans style? Well now you have your chance to find out! Axed, recently opened within the fabulous Cornerhouse in Nottingham City Centre, adding a unique element to the city’s many attractions.

Aahh you’ve re-watched that Netflix show for the 5^th time, you’ve played every drinking game in your repertoire at least 50 times, and you’ve taste-tested half of the restaurants on Uber Eats. Maybe it’s time for you and your flatmates to get out of the flat and explore some of the exciting things Notts has to offer (which aren’t all drinking). Here are five fun things do to in Nottingham with your flatmates! 

If someone asked you, “How would you like to walk around a dark room, blindfolded with a futuristic backpack on for 15 minutes”, what would you say? No? Let me rephrase that. How would you like to explore a world where up is down and down is up, where the laws of physics are optional, where flying whales and parrot rays have replaced the birds and glowing blue orbs guide you ultimately to an ancient alien temple?

The last time I went to the races was as a child with my family. I remember the hustle and bustle of it all, the suits, the bookies on their stalls, the thudding of hooves and asking my Dad if we could go right up to the track and watch the thoroughbreds sprint past the finishing post. It was quite the treat then, to make the trip to the Southwell Autumn Floodlit Flat Races - so I was delighted to be given the opportunity to visit again.

Visit Nottinghamshire had the opportunity to try out a new virtual reality escape room at Meetspace VR; a virtual reality, social gaming and e-sports arena at intu Victoria Centre. As excited as we all were, we could not have prepared for the truly mind-blowing experience we encountered.
