Newstead Abbey
Join Adventure Cinema for fantastic outdoor movie experiences this summer, in the stunning grounds of Newstead Abbey. Pack a picnic and bring a blanket or camping chair, and you can also enjoy a specially curated soundtrack of music before each film.
Friday 26 July: Top Gun (12)
A blockbuster open-air showing of the original and absolute 80's classic, Top Gun. Feel the need, the need for speed!
Saturday 27 July: Mamma Mia! (PG)
An ABBAtastic outdoor cinema experience! Immerse yourself in the world of the hit musical and sing your heart out to ABBA's greatest hits.
Sunday 28 July: Back to the Future (PG)
Great Scott! Small-town California teen Marty McFly is thrown back into the 1950's when an experiment goes awry.
Food and snacks will be available plus an on-site bar.
Picnics and drinks welcome.
NO glasses. Plastic and paper cups only.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Screenings will go ahead if it's raining but we are hoping for a nice dry weekend.
No seating provided unless you have premium tickets. Blankets and camping chairs are allowed.
On-site toilets will be available including accessible facilities.
With the exception of registered assistance dogs, no animals are allowed at any of our events.
The screenings will take place on the Abbey lawn.
All vehicles can arrive via the main entrance to the Abbey and the main car park is free for cinema guests to park each evening.
Please note that the park will close to daytime visitors at 5pm and will reopen for the events.
Accessibility: The event is approx 400m from the car park, along a flat, wheelchair friendly path. There is limited parking for blue badge holders closer to the event space, please speak to the parking marshalls on arrival. There will be accessible toilet facilities on-site. Please speak to our friendly stewards if you require any additional assistance.
