Taiwanese Artist Feng-Ru Lee is returning with her 'Secret Recipe – Dumpling Party' at Nottingham Contemporary to coincide with the launch night of our first ever Food & Home Fair. Dumplings were originally introduced in Asia to combine traditional healing herbs with everyday ingredients to fight disease. This participatory project is a new take of the original Fluxus dumpling parties held by George Maciunas in the 1960s. Participants are invited to write a secret onto edible rice paper that will then be combined with other ingredients, formed into dumplings and cooked, uniting art and life in the heart of our communities. Share in an experience of culinary experimentation and confession through the digestion of untold secrets.
