With so many aspects to Nottinghamshire's fascinating history, culture and attractions, it can be tricky to know where to start your exploration. To help you plan your trip, we've created a number of themed itineraries which show you the top spots to visit.

These useful trails give you a handy list with everything you need, including travel times, addresses, and links to the listing pages to find out more about the attractions. You can then edit, name, save, email, or print the list so it's always to hand. So, whether you are interested in Robin Hood, real ale, the illustrious literary history of the county, or are simply looking for inspiration, there are lots of ideas below to get you started.

How to use the itineraries

With each of the itineraries listed below, begin by clicking 'Add All Items to Itinerary'. From there you can either keep all the destinations in the pre-populated list, or amend the itinerary by clicking on the places you are interested in. Rename your personalised itinerary, and then save, email, print, add notes, or view on your mobile phone and tablet. 

Noticed the pink heart above listings and events across the site? You can create your very own itinerary from scratch by clicking 'Add to My Planner' on the places you are interested in visiting. You can find your planner at the top of every page on the site.
