1. Bonfire Night at Norwood Park

Norwood Park is a majestic Country House nestled in the charming town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire. This iconic estate is steeped in history and character, boasting stunning Georgian architecture attributed to the renowned John Carr of York. Surrounded by over one hundred acres of idyllic deer parkland, you'll be enchanted by the ancient oaks and lush orchards that have been meticulously cared for over centuries.
2. Newark Family Firework Show
Sunday 3rd November | The Renaissance at Kelham Hall I Gates open at 4pm, display starts at approx. 8:00pm | Tickets: £10.50 adult, £6.50 child, under 3s go free
The Renaissance at Kelham Hall are hosting the biggest Newark firework show ever this Sunday, all set within their beautiful grounds covering 42 acres.
After a sell-out event in 2022 and 2023, they will be increasing their capacity and expecting yet another full crowd, so make sure to get your tickets whilst they are still available!
Come along and marvel at the firework display by Dynamite Fireworks Ltd, enjoy a variety of food stalls, children's fairground rides and traditional firework night treats! Don't forget to get a photo with the amazing LED Globot, who will be walking around the grounds throughout the evening.
3. Halloween at the Abbey
Saturday 19th October - Sunday 3rd November | Newstead Abbey & Gardens | Various times | Various prices
This Halloween and half term, discover spooky happenings at Newstead Abbey & Gardens. Join one of the tour guides to seek out the stories of the ghosts who haunt the Abbey, and have lots of fun along the way at their ‘Family Friendly Ghost Tour’ on Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd November.
You can also explore the Historic House at night and ‘meet’ some of its most famous spectral residents on Friday 1st & Saturday 2nd November and explore their Outdoor ‘Scary Skulls’ Trail from Saturday 19th October - Sunday 3rd November.
4. Nottingham Comedy Festival

The Nottingham Comedy Festival will be back for its 16th year between Friday 1st - Sunday 10th November, with more shows than ever taking place at various locations throughout the City.
NCF pride themselves on supporting local, national and international comedians through all stages of their careers.
Some of the fantastic shows this weekend include Jon Pearson: What Have You Been Up To? at Canalhouse, Comic Harmonic at the Malt Cross, and Juliette Burton: Going Rogue (WIP) at The Lord Roberts.

5. A Likely Story – Animated Projection
Friday 1st November | Newark Market Place | 5.30pm - 9pm | FREE
Get ready for an enchanting evening in Newark Market Place on the 1st of November from 5.30 PM to 9 PM! Join Harriet and her friends as they embark on a captivating historical escapade through the rich history of Newark. This unique event, titled ‘A Likely Story’, promises to be a delightful experience for all ages.
Produced by the talented team at Electric Egg, this original projected animation will transform Newark Town Hall into a canvas of vibrant storytelling. The animation, which lasts approximately 15 minutes, will be shown continuously throughout the evening, allowing visitors to enjoy the adventure at their own pace.
There’s no need to pre-book or pay, simply wrap up warm and visit Newark Market Place to secure your viewing spot for free. This wonderful animation will run in regular intervals from 5.30pm until 9pm.
