About

Selected Saturdays + Mondays from 3rd June - 31st October | 2024 | Mornings, afternoons and evenings
The Harley Pottery Studio
£40

Looking for a fun pottery experience? Have a go on the potter's wheel in this short and sweet throwing taster session, perfect for complete beginners.

You will learn the basics of wheel control, posture, and hand positioning, the stages of throwing a cylinder on the potter's wheel, including centring, and lifting the walls of your pot.

This session is perfect for complete beginners, or those who have attended any of our other introductory courses.

We recommend trimming long nails prior to the session, removing any jewellery, and tying back long hair.

The session cost includes all materials, tools and clay.

This is a skills first session, focusing on the process rather than the end result. None of the work produced will be fired or glazed.

There are just 4 places on each session, which will offer a high level of one-on-one teaching and a close-knit studio experience.
