Nottingham's Festival of Science & Curiosity is back for 2024 for another brilliant week celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths with interactive and fun and free family events across Nottinghamshire. Enjoy a Free Lunchtime Concert with Nottingham Trent University on 14th February. From vocal to instrumental, classical to folk and jazz, enjoy performances from our talented students in a relaxed setting. Lasting around 20 – 30 minutes, these concerts are held throughout the academic year.
Dogs Don't Do Ballet is a sublime and ridiculous play which is about the hilarious story of a small dog with a big personality and even bigger dreams, brought to life using beautiful puppets, well-loved ballet music and dazzling comedy. Ghost of the Gaol is back at National Justice Museum for those over 14 years old. Many people have been imprisoned and executed over the centuries of our building's macabre history. Do these souls still reside in the cells and halls of this ancient gaol? Retrace the steps of those who were locked away here, uncover eerie tales from staff and visitors alike, and learn of the many paranormal experiences reported within this historic building. Over 14s only. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult due to the adult themes of the tour.
Perfect for the whole family, The Nottingham Panthers have two fixtures over February Half Term: Glasgow Clan on Sunday 11th February and Fyfe Flyers on Sunday 18th February. The Nottingham Panthers are the only professional ice hockey team in the East Midlands. Playing out of the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham Panthers’ games provide an atmosphere like no other and it’s suitable for all ages, whether you’re looking to start your night with something different or spend some time with the family.
Over at the Heights of Abraham, they are celebrating the anniversary of the construction of the cable car with a new exhibition about how the cable cars were built, along with new exhibition displays in the Long View Gallery. The Heights will be open every day during half term. Discover the seven spectacular views of the Derwent valley, vast underground caverns, the historic Great Masson Cavern, the Victoria Prospect Tower, exhibitions, play areas, and beautifully landscaped gardens.
