With more of a personal touch, we trek at the Customer's pace whether it be fast or slow! We take out smaller groups as it allows the customers to totally relax and enjoy their trek much more.  THE BEST OFF-ROAD HORSE RIDING in the Midlands!! Very safe for beginners and a dream you wouldn't believe for experienced riders! 

TREKKING ALL YEAR ROUND.

There are so many different routes to ride. We don't have to worry about a horse knowing where they usually canter because it’s a different ride every time with our safe trekking horses.  

We care that little bit more and go that extra mile at Derbyshire Pony Trekking. Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence/Hall of Fame/Travellers Choice winners every year for 8 years running from 2015 to 2022.

Trekking Prices From 1 February 2024

£35 per person - 1 Hour - suitable for 4 years upwards and complete beginners

£45 per person - 1.5 Hours - suitable for adult beginners (able to ride independently at walk) to experienced riders

£55 per person - 2 Hours - suitable for adult beginners (able to ride independently at walk) to experienced riders

£65 per person - 2.5 Hours (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter)

£80 per person - 3 Hours Forest Trek (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter and be physically fit)

PLEASE NOTE: Last minute bookings (on the day booking) will incur a surcharge of £2 extra per person.

Pub Grub Treks (includes pub lunch) - (experienced riders only)

4 Hours £95

Day Rides (bring your own picnic) - (experienced riders only)

Day Rides (including Afternoon Tea) - (experienced riders only)

3.5 hour Afternoon Tea £105 per person

4 hour Afternoon Tea Trek  £125 per person

4.5 hour Afternoon Tea £135 per person

One to one Confidence Building Trek/Private Trek/Private Lesson - (Teenagers & Adults only)

£65 per hour per person

(Not available at weekends or school holidays)

Sunset Treks

Prices per person as follows:

1 hour - £45
1.5 hours - £55
2 hours - £65

Sunset treks operate only in the months where the sun sets between 4.30pm -7.30pm

Night Ride - Age 13 plus - must be able to ride up to walk trot independently
