This year, accessible sensory sessions will be available from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, with free bookings on a first-come, first-served basis via Eventbrite.
The main festivities will commence at 6pm, spreading from Eastwood Square along Nottingham Road. Attendees can enjoy Victorian carol singers, captivating street performances featuring the return of the Spark! Drummers, and fun-filled fairground rides. The town will also feature a nativity trail through participating shops, while carol singing led by Eastwood & District Churches Together will spread the Christmas spirit. Adding to the evening’s excitement, the Pesky Alligators from Nottingham will perform a high-energy live music set on stage.
At 7pm, the Mayor of Broxtowe and the Eastwood Town Mayor will lead the Christmas Lights Switch-On ceremony by the beautifully decorated Christmas tree at Eastwood Square. The night will conclude with a dazzling firework finale at 8pm, best viewed from Nottingham Road near Eastwood Library.
Stay updated via Broxtowe Borough Council’s Facebook page or visit the website. Organized by Broxtowe Borough Council in partnership with the Eastwood Christmas Lights Steering Group and Eastwood Town Council, the event is proudly sponsored by Boyes, with additional support from Iceland.
