Take this circular walk around Nottinghamshire's Welbeck Estate and discover fantastic scenery and excellent attractions along the way. From the starting point in the Welbeck car park, adjacent to the award-winning Harley Gallery, the 2.5 mile route will take you through scenic countryside, including the majestic limestone gorge of Creswell Crags and the picturesque town of Holbeck. Alternatively, the route can easily be started at other points, from either Creswell Crags or Holbeck, especially useful for visitors staying at the charming Browns of Holbeck B&B.
If you find yourself in need of refreshment along the way there’s the Limehouse Café adjacent to the start / finish point at the Harley Gallery. Here you’ll also find the wonderful Welbeck Farm Shop where you can stock up on delicious deli items for a picnic or treats to take home. There’s also a café and toilet facilities located by the Creswell Crags museum.
Free parking is available at the Harley Gallery and car parking is also available at Creswell Crags visitor centre with a donation preferred for the trust.
Please note: this walk includes a range of waking surfaces including uneven tracks and a short, steep climb. Please see PDF for more information.
