Named after two Victorian lace-finishers who ran a small business on the original island quarter site, Cleaver & Wake serves dishes using the best produce from across the British Isles.
Led by Chef Laurence Henry, winner of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2018, with Head Chef Hira Thakur at the helm, they proudly serve modern dishes inspired by their travels, as well as classics elevated with flair.
Their commitment is to deliver an experience that is memorable for all our guests – whether you’re meeting a new client for lunch, celebrating your birthday with friends, or treating your grandparents for Sunday lunch, their team is at your service.
When you step inside Cleaver & Wake you will know that you are somewhere special. From the stunning floral entrance created by in-house partner florist Gigil & Bloom to the elegant bar and restaurant, every care and attention to detail has been taken to provide guests with a truly special experience. The fully accessible open kitchen marks the heart of the restaurant, with diners able to watch the theatre of each dish being made by their talented chef team.
Cleaver & Wake offer lunch and dinner menus, which change regularly to utilise a selection of the very best seasonal produce from across the British Isles. This careful selection provides diners with the best version of each dish that they make, and this approach means the menu changes regularly, as the seasons change. Therefore, please note that the menus shared are sample menus representing the dishes you can expect to enjoy when dining at Cleaver and Wake.
