1. Winter Wonderland

Nottingham’s iconic Winter Wonderland returns this week to Old Market Square, offering a festive escape for all ages. Glide across the Ice Rink or try the exciting Sky Skate Ice Path, where you can skate high above the square with sweeping city views. For a more family-friendly experience, there’s a ground-level ice rink and a smaller one just for kids, complete with penguin skate aids to help them along.

The Ice Bar opens this Friday, where you can sip drinks in a frosty setting at a refreshing -10°C. Stay warm with coats and gloves provided on entry, and book in advance to secure your spot in this unique winter experience. The Wonderland also includes alpine-themed bars, festive market stalls, and the Observation Wheel, all offering plenty of ways to embrace the Christmas spirit.

2. An Evening with Stuart Broad

Join cricketing legend Stuart Broad for an exclusive evening at the Theatre Royal. At noon, Santa arrives with his team of elves and the Rother Valley Working Newfoundlands for a magical parade down Lime Tree Avenue. Afterward, children can meet Santa by the Courtyard Christmas tree and snap a festive photo.

Enjoy classic vintage fairground rides, sing-along shows, live music, and a variety of festive food and drinks. With everything from seasonal shopping to holiday entertainment, it’s a perfect way to kick off the Christmas celebrations!

4. Murder: Staged

True crime enthusiasts won’t want to miss Murder: Staged, an interactive event that explores the psychology and forensic science behind real-life murder cases. Hosted by crime expert Cheish Merryweather, this immersive experience will delve into the mind of the ‘forensically aware’ killer and the techniques used to stage crime scenes.

The evening includes a live psychopath test to see if you’d have what it takes to evade the law, as well as insights into famous cases. For anyone fascinated by crime, psychology, or forensic science, this is set to be an intriguing evening of discovery and dark intrigue.

5. Intaglio Printmaking Workshop
