Groovebox Pride Event Gok Wan Headshot

Nottingham based house music event brand Groovebox are returning to the sunshine terrace of Binks Yard on the 27th of July, to host another Pride event after the roaring success of last year’s edition – which hosted performances from Nottingham’s very own comedy legend Charity Shop Sue, Drag Race UK stars including winner Danny Beard, Tayce, Sminty Drop and Mutha Tucka; a set from Ibiza regular Sam Sax, known for playing house music favourites on a saxophone - alongside DJ sets from Glitterbox legend Todd Terry, Horse Meat Disco, Essel and more.

What To Expect

At Groovebox Pride 2024, you can expect to see former TV presenter turned DJ Gok Wan, who will be headlining the event, playing all of your favourite house and disco tunes, alongside other music performances from the likes of H from Steps and Lesbians Worldwide. There will be DJ sets from local talent including Ark-S and Cookii Shakes, El Johno and Martin Crich. As well as the music, there will be another celebration of drag at the event, with a drag cabaret compered by Susie Nova, alongside fellow queens Bella Bestia, Binjuice, Hunter Gatherer, Vayne and Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK finalist Tomara Thomas

Groovebox are notorious for going above and beyond with their exceptional production at their events which you can experience for yourself at Pride, with a video wall, CO2 jets, streamer cannons, pyrotechnics and so much more.
