As far as dance music goes, everyone loves the 90s. It’s an era of music with a colossal space in many people’s hearts, especially of those who were there experiencing the 90’s rave scene in its prime.

Were you there? Do you want to reminisce, and give into nostalgia, or are you a 90’s baby, brought up on the tracks of the past that have now become dance classics?

This summer, you can be transported straight back to that moment in time. On the 1st of June, a selection of the greatest acts of 90s dance music will be playing at Love the 90’s, a day rave on the sunshine terrace at Nottingham’s new outdoor venue Binks Yard, which opened last summer. If you are local to Nottingham, you probably will have heard of Groovebox, a dance music event brand known for hosting raves and festivals across the city – it is their sister brand Live Republic who will be hosting their Love the 90’s event at Binks Yard.

Throughout the day, there will be both live performances and DJ sets from iconic 90s dance artists including Dave Pearce, who will be playing his usual, not-to-be-missed trance anthems, Manchester’s former Hacienda regulars K. Klass, N-Trance – one of the biggest selling dance acts of the 90’s with their track Set You Free, Baby D – known for their 1994 track Let Me Be Your Fantasy, Sweet Female Attitude – who will be playing garage hits including Flowers and finally, the dance pop sensation Livin’ Joy will be performing favourites including Dreamer and Don’t Stop Movin’.

Alongside the live performances and DJ sets, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at the event; including high-class production, providing an authentic festival atmosphere, impressive fire eaters and stilt walkers as well as roaming entertainers and actors. There will also of course be street food vendors available selling a variety of grub to fill you up and soak up the booze, including burgers, hot dogs, fries and more – with gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options also available. At the fully stocked bar, there will also be a special selection of 90s inspired cocktails available on the day. This is just a taster of what you can expect, there will be so many more surprises and other sources of entertainment along the way.

So, what are you waiting for? Tickets are running low, so make sure you grab yours now!
