1. Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World

Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World bursts to life on stage in this 'pop-fuelled, upbeat' (The Times) new musical from the producer of SIX.
Join our heroine Jade as she breaks away from her group to take a peek behind the scenes at the not yet open Gallery of Greatness in the local museum, where she meets the original and incredible wonder women: Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, Marie Curie, Mary Seacole, Emmeline Pankhurst to name just a few.
Your journey through the lives of some of history's greatest icons starts right here! Celebrated dramatist Chris Bush and the songwriters behind huge hits for Girls Aloud and Miley Cyrus adapt the best-selling book by suffragette descendant Kate Pankhurst.
From explorers to artists, scientists to secret agents, the Fantastically Great Women pack a pop-star punch in this high-voltage hit -prepare to move and be moved!
2. St Patrick's Day
Sunday 17th March | Old Market Square | FREE event
The annual Nottingham St Patrick’s Day event returns to the city centre, celebrating the city and region’s vibrant Irish community and descendants.
Head to Old Market Square to enjoy a range of Irish and Irish-inspired live music and culture on stage. Visit the main event listing for the full schedule of events including times.
Over at Binks Yard, they are hosting a Family-friendly St Patrick's Day party packed with food, drink and music headlined by a tribute to one of Ireland's most celebrated music acts, U2. Click here for more info.
3. Cheese & Wine Tasting Evening
Saturday 16th March | Cleaver & Wake | 6.30pm - 8.30pm | £55 per person
Join Cleaver & Wake on Saturday 16th March for their first ever cheese & wine tasting evening. Hosted by their in-house Sommelier, explore a range of their handpicked favourite wines from around the world.
On the evening you will try six different wines including sparkling, red, white, rose and dessert wine which will also be accompanied with a cheese board featuring local, British and international cheeses.
Tickets are £55 and include six different types of wine, cheese, crackers and chutneys with the event going for approximately 2 hours.
4. Plant Hunters Fair at Southwell Minster

The brilliant Spring Plant Hunters' Fair at Southwell Minster, Palace Garden will take place on Sunday 17th March with a brilliant line up of wonderful plants on offer.
Where better to get inspiration for your garden than at this great plant fair? The event offers the opportunity to visit a brilliant line-up of 22 specialist nurseries and artisans from near and far to get your gardening season off to a great start.
The plants are lovingly grown by these nurseries who are bringing a great range of perennials, shrubs, alpines, spring bulbs, trees, wild flowers, herbs, rare species, old heritage varieties and up to the minute new varieties for a wide range of garden situations from hot sun to cool shade.
5. The Society of Authors Presents...
Saturday 16th March | Nottingham Central Library | 10am – 11.30am | Tickets: £5.50
Nottingham Central Library are hosting a seven-month series of talks, workshops, readings, and courses presented by the East Midlands Society of Authors. Topics include poetry, biographies, living witchcraft, crime, wellbeing, short stories and worldbuilding for fiction.
This Saturday, you can enjoy a workshop by Rosanna McGlone: ‘The Process of Poetry Redrafting: Getting Down to the Nitty Gritty’.
