1. Myths and Legends with the Master at Arms
Saturday 13th & 27th January | RSPB Sherwood Forest I 1pm - 2.30pm | Price: £5 (£4 for RSPB members)
Join William De Tankerville, The Sheriff of Nottingham’s Master at Arms, as he takes you on a tour of the majestic Greenwood, sharing stories of medieval life and the villainous Robin Hood.
William has become very familiar with Sherwood while on the hunt for Robin Hood and knows the most beautiful pathways... and the deadliest! But do not fear good citizens of Nottingham, as not even the dastardly Hood would dare take on the Sheriff’s most experienced warrior!
This walk will take you on a journey through the forest, hearing the tales of its most legendary inhabitant and medieval life. The walk will last approximately 90 minutes, and please bring suitable clothing and footwear.
If you join them on 13th January, why not go early and learn how to identify trees even when they are not in leaf with their Winter Tree ID event? That would be the perfect day exploring Sherwood Forest!
2. Ghost of the Gaol

The National Justice Museum has been voted one of the 'most haunted buildings' in the UK!
Many people have been imprisoned and executed over the centuries of our building's macabre history. Do these souls still reside in the cells and halls of this ancient gaol? Retrace the steps of those who were locked away here, uncover eerie tales from staff and visitors alike, and learn of the many paranormal experiences reported within this historic building.

Witness the story of Aladdin - an honest, poor young boy, as he aspires to win the heart of the captivating Princess of Peking. With the aid of the mystical genie of the lamp and Aladdin's family, the stage is set for a dazzling showdown against the nefarious magician Abanazzer. Will Aladdin emerge triumphant and save the kingdom?
For nearly four decades, Nottingham University Hospitals Pantomime Society has been crafting memorable pantomimes that captivate audiences. The majority of the exceptional cast, crew, and band are dedicated members of Nottingham University Hospitals.
4. Fascinating Finds From Nottingham's Caves: Places of Work and Play
Thursdays - Sundays from 12th January - 7th July | University of Nottingham Museum | 12noon - 4pm | FREE
Nottingham is famous for its hundreds of caves which lie underneath the city's historic centre, carved into the sandstone rock, some going back to the medieval period.
This exhibition highlights some of the fascinating Nottingham cave finds, showing the ways in which caves were used for work – as places for tanning leather, brewing, and storing ale, or craft-working – and as places of leisure, with impressive caves found underneath many of the city's famous pubs, inns, and townhouses where people gathered to drink, eat and enjoy themselves.

5. Jesus Christ Superstar

An album that inspired a revolution. A revelation that changed the world. A reinvention for this Millenium.
Timothy Sheader directs this mesmerizing new production of the iconic global phenomenon, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ which comes to the Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall for one week only! Originally staged by London's Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, this reimagined production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival, garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades.
Choreographed by Drew McOnie (King Kong, Strictly Ballroom), with music and lyrics by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary series of events during the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes 'I Don't Know How to Love Him', 'Gethsemane' and 'Superstar'.
