Visitors to the tenth Festival of Food and Drink are in for a real treat at this year’s event which takes place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September at the beautiful Thoresby Estate in Nottinghamshire.
Over 160 stalls will offer an amazing selection of artisan food and drink products, street food, cocktails and bars plus beautiful gifts, crafts and homewares in the festival’s shopping areas.
Not only will you be able to try, taste and buy some delicious food but there will be the opportunity for the whole family to have a go at learning new culinary skills. The popular Kids Cookery School is back with sessions bookable on the day including ice cream making, pasta making and chocolate biscuit rolls.
The 500-seat Cookery Theatre, which is free to visit for all ticket holders, has a stellar line-up of guests including British chef, TV presenter and food writer, Matt Tebbutt the current host of BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, multi award-winning pastry chef Cherish Finden, The Great British Bake Off contestant Janusz Domagala, newly-crowned MasterChef Champion Chariya Khattiyot, baking extraordinaire and Great British Bake Off fan favourite Sandro, and Matt Pritchard, also known as The Dirty Vegan. Chris Bavin, renowned presenter and food expert, known for co-presenting Britain’s Best Home Cook and Eat Well for Less?, hosts the cookery theatre on Saturday 16 September and Joe Hurd, TV presenter and cook will host on Sunday 17th September.
There will be a range of bookable sessions including cocktail making, barista sessions and wine tasting, plus demonstrations from Savage BBQ and more family fun with Art ventures and new for 2003 is natural craft dying with the team from local Rhubarb Farm.
All this plus live music throughout the day, the Festival of Food and Drink is not to be missed!
Tickets have been held at last year’s £10 price and are on sale now and can be purchased via the festival website. VIP ticket options are also available as well as family and children’s tickets.
