The 2023 Nottingham Chamber Music Festival gets ready for July 13th – 16th
Nottingham’s premier classical music festival, the Nottingham Chamber Music Festival (NCMF) will hit the streets of Nottingham from July 13th – 16th. The Festival brings together some of the UK’s most talented classical artists, who will perform in Nottingham’s beautiful heritage spaces.
This year, venues such as Nottingham Contemporary, Delilah Fine Foods, St Mary’s in the Lace Market, St Peter’s Church, and the Squire Performing Arts Centre will host concerts during the Festival. Renowned classical artists such as the Villiers Quartet, the Tailleferre Ensemble, rarescale duo, the Maggini Quartet, and MishMash Ensemble will perform an eclectic array of music for audiences of all ages.
A selection of free and ticketed events are on offer. The Villiers Quartet will perform an evening of music by Beethoven with poetry of Lord Byron, read by Nottingham actor Martin Berry; The MishMash Ensemble gives a family-friendly performance for the Festival’s annual Family Concert; and the renowned Maggini Quartet, whose long-standing cellist Michal Kaznowski passed away in May 2023, will give a concert in memoriam to their colleague.
