1. Dennis Rollins' FUNKY-FUNK!

FUNKY-FUNK! is a seriously funky band with an infectious sound… you can't help but 'get your groove on' when you hear it!
Dennis Rollins MBE joins an elite lineage of trombone players responsible for changing its perceptions. From The Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Courtney Pine, to Maceo Parker and PeeWee Ellis, Rollins has lent his 'bone skills to an array of jazz, funk and groove personalities.
Here he presents 'FUNKY-FUNK!' – an electrifying 6-piece outfit exploring funky grooves, fat bass-lines and sumptuous melodies.
2. Exhibition Launches: Emily Andersen and Nottingham Women's Centre
Friday 24th March | Bonington Gallery | 6pm | Free
Get a first look around Emily Andersen's exhibition Somewhere Else Entirely in the Gallery , and Nottingham Women's Centre in Bonington Gallery’s Vitrines from 6pm - 8pm.
Situated at the heart of Nottingham Trent University’s (NTU) School of Art & Design, the gallery's exhibitions and events are completely free to access, and open to the public. Past exhibitions have featured local, national and international artists, including Hetain Patel, Frank Stella, Tacita Dean, Permindar Kaur, Sonia Boyce, Isaac Julien, Steve McQueen, Glenn Ligon and Andrew Logan.
3. Ghost Hunt at Newstead Abbey

Built in the 12th Century this monastic Abbey has over 800 years of history and hauntings to investigate. Walk through the chilling rooms and soak up the atmosphere of this once busy house. It takes on a whole new feel when darkness falls and the lights go out! With many spooky stories, this is the ideal location for a ghost hunt.
Experience this magnificent medieval building and be a part of discovering the families who once considered the house their home. Guest will be shown how to use paranormal investigation equipment and guided through the nights ghost hunt by experienced paranormal investigators.
4. Matilda Jr. The Musical

Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination!
This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have you rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules.
But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace! Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda JR. is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
5. Notts County v Scunthorpe United - Tickets for a Tenner
Saturday 25th March | Meadow Lane | 12pm - 5pm (Kick-off 3pm) | From £1
Ticket prices have been slashed and a family fun zone will be in place when Notts County celebrate Community Day against Scunthorpe United on Saturday 25 March (kick-off 3pm).
It's set to be a huge match at both ends of the Vanarama National League table as Notts continue their thrilling race for promotion, while Scunthorpe look to make a miraculous escape from relegation.
And, with so much riding on the game, it's sure to be a fantastic atmosphere and occasion.
