It was the most celebrated day in the history of English football, and it’s hard to imagine it’s been a staggering 50 years since England beat West Germany at Wembley to win the 1966 World Cup.
Undoubtedly Sir Geoff Hurst’s hat-trick was the driving force that lead the Three Lions to an unprecedented win which saw England’s 4-2 win on home soil.
The legendary centre-forward is still the only player EVER to score a hat trick in a World Cup final and was knighted in 1998 for services to the sport.
It seems fitting, as England’s Home of Sport, that the 50th Anniversary Gala of
England’s triumphant win is being held in Nottinghamshire which will be held in Mansfield’s John Fretwell Centre on Friday 15th April 2016.
We have teamed up with the event organiser HS Events to offer one lucky a winner a pair of tickets to this once in a lifetime event. An Evening with Geoff Hurst will include a special World Cup talk, an audience Q & A, and photo opportunity all with the man himself.
To be in with a chance of winning fill in your details and answer the question below. Terms and conditions apply. Closing date 1st April.
