International Starclass Speed Skating Event Returns to Nottingham

For a second year running, Nottingham will be host to international short track speed skating event, Starclass 2016. The event takes place at The National Ice Centre, Nottingham from Friday 8^th to Sunday 10^th January, and will see some of the best talent from Western Europe compete together on the ice. Mid-way between their international seasons, the competition will feature Olympic squad, GB Short Track. Members of the squad are currently hard at work competing against the best skaters in the world from Canada to Sweden, Japan to Holland, but they will all be back in Nottingham for this annual event. With British stars such as Elise Christie, the first Briton to win two medals at a World Championships, and Murray Cochrane, winner of the Europa Cup 2015; this event will be a great opportunity to see the current and future Olympians in action, and even better, on home ground.  Whilst Friday will be a day for schools, Saturday and Sunday will be open to the public for all to enjoy.
