This Easter, children and adults alike can enjoy heaps of fun in Nottinghamshire. Events like Robin Hood’s Easter Trail in Sherwood Forest, Cadbury Easter Egg Trails at three of Nottinghamshire National Trust properties and an Easter egg hunt in the historic grounds of Nottingham Castle promise to be very 'egg-citing' indeed! Design an Easter Bonnet Competition at Harts Hotel: Show your creative flair by taking part in an Easter bonnet competition organised by Hart’s Hotel. Adults have the chance to win an overnight stay at the hotel including a meal in the Park Bar, while youngsters could get their hands on a tasty chocolate prize. Sweet Treats at Eden Hall Day Spa: From 1 – 30 April 2014, Eden Hall is offering customers an indulgent new day package including full use of the spa’s luxurious facilities and an exclusive selection of divine treats. Visitors can choose to celebrate Easter with something that will last longer than a chocolate egg. Please note- this offer is only available Monday to Friday. The price is £105pp. Robin Hood’s Easter Trail at Sherwood Forest: Between 5 – 21 April 2014, visitors can explore the woodland at the legendary Sherwood Forest and follow the self guided trail. Discover fascinating facts about the forest and Nottinghamshire’s outlaw, Robin Hood. After completing all the clues, claim your delicious award. The normal price for the car park is £3 and the trail costs £1 and is available from the Visitor Centre. Easter Egg Tree at Nottingham Castle: From 14 – 21 April 2014, take your little ones to Nottingham Castle and they will be able to get creative and decorate an egg shape to hang on the Easter Egg Tree. Afterwards, join in the fun on an Easter Egg hunt to find hidden eggs around the historic grounds. Entry into the Castle is, adults £5.50, concessions (under 14s, over 60s & UK students) £4, Under 5s – FREE and Family Ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) £15. The Easter Trail is a FREE activity. Cadbury Easter Egg Trails at National Trust Properties: Cadbury has teamed up with National Trust properties, Clumber Park, Mr Straw’s House and The Workhouse. Children can help solve the mystery of the missing Easter eggs and be rewarded with a tasty chocolatey prize. Clumber Park, 18 – 21 April 2014: Clumber Park has FREE admission and the trail cost is £3 Mr Straw’s House, 19 April 2014: Adults £7.10, children (over 5 yrs) £3.55, family £17.75 The Workhouse, 20 & 21 April 2014: Adults £8.50, children (over 5 yrs) £4.25, family £21.25 and the trail cost is £1.50 Chocoholics Easter Afternoon Tea at Ye Olde Bell Hotel: Visit Ye Olde Bell between 18 – 21 April 2014, in the pretty village of Barnby Moor near Retford, and indulge in their speciality Afternoon Tea with a twist. On Easter Sunday, Ye Olde Bell is also hosting an Easter Sunday luncheon giving you the chance to spend time with your loved ones while enjoying delicious food. Bunnies and Bonnet at Framework Knitters Museum: The annual Bunnies & Bonnets event returns to The Framework Knitters Museum on 18 April 2014. The price of the event is £4 for adults, £2 for children without a bunny or bonnet and FREE children for with a bunny or bonnet. Easter Eggstravaganza onboard the Princess River Cruiser: On 20 April 2014, for adults and families alike, enjoy a tranquil three-hour cruise along Nottingham’s River Trent with a two course roast dinner and picturesque views. Plus all children will receive a free Easter egg! The price for the river cruise is, adults £16.65, children £12 (up to 12yrs) and concessions £15.85. White Rabbit Trail at Newstead Abbey: On 20 & 21 April 2014, visit Lord Byron’s ancestral home, Newstead Abbey, and get involved in heaps of fun around the glorious landscape of garden and parkland. Over the two days, families can help the Easter Bunny find all his lost eggs. Please note - Children must be accompanied by an adult. Entry to Newstead Abbey Gardens is £6 per car.
