After being rescheduled to 2021, the tour finally reached Nottingham for its first night at the sold-out Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. The Visit Nottingham team was kindly invited down by Motorpoint Arena Nottingham to join an electric night of JLS’ greatest hits and the latest singles off their new album!

Upon the 10 second countdown the scoreboard dropped to the stage only lifting to reveal the glitzy STEPS, and then, boom, they were straight in with the hits and of course those famous dance moves. I don’t think we stopped singing and dancing all evening; just a joy to have fun with friends once again and to see so many people happy and enjoying themselves.

Aahh you’ve re-watched that Netflix show for the 5^th time, you’ve played every drinking game in your repertoire at least 50 times, and you’ve taste-tested half of the restaurants on Uber Eats. Maybe it’s time for you and your flatmates to get out of the flat and explore some of the exciting things Notts has to offer (which aren’t all drinking). If you’re familiar with Nottingham’s Wollaton Hall, you’ll know it has quite the legacy for hosting ground-breaking dinosaur themed events and experiences. After the roaring success of the world exclusive Dinosaurs of China exhibition, it’s definitely the place to be for budding palaeontologists. But now in 2021, get ready for a brand-new exhibition with real teeth… Titus: T-rex is king.

When was the last time you paid attention to weathered statues commemorating citizens from bygone times? (Every town has at least one.) How often have you checked out local landmarks? (Visiting the museum aged five on a primary school trip doesn’t count.) It feels great to make time to explore local towns and cities, which is why I collaborated with Visit Derby and partners to make this trip into Nottingham and spend the day there.
