Guests are cordially invited to a tasting event centred around the delightful wintery beverage, with the added opportunity to savour it in the company of delectable cheeses.
This event goes beyond the classic Port and Stilton pairing to explore the harmonious union of Port with various cheese varieties. From the crumbly, nutty charm of cheddar to the soft and savory allure of blue cheese, a selection of cheeses will be expertly matched with different styles of Port. While many may associate Port with the colder months, typically favoring Ruby or LBV styles, this event aims to introduce attendees to the full spectrum of flavors that this quintessentially British libation has to offer.
This gathering provides an educational journey into the production and origins of this beloved drink, offering participants the chance to sample a diverse array of exquisite Port wines. The selection may include White Port, Tawny, 10-year-old Tawny, Reserve Ruby Port, Late Bottled Ruby Vintage, and Vintage Port.
A total of six wines will be available for tasting, thoughtfully paired with cheese selections, creating a delightful opportunity for attendees to experience some of the most delectable food and wine pairings available.
