Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee takes place between Thursday 2nd and Sunday 5th June 2022. The Jubilee marks 70 years of Her Majesty The Queen’s reign, and Queen Elizabeth II is the only UK monarch to achieve such an honour. Individuals and communities from across the UK are encouraged to celebrate this historic milestone, with tons of fun things to do in and around Nottinghamshire.

What to do
A whole host of events including beacons, parties and celebrations will take place throughout Nottinghamshire from Thursday 2nd of June. You can also see an open air exhibition, a Garden Party at Nottingham Castle and a giant crown on front of the Council House!
Belvoir Castle are hosting a weekend of fun activities including a street party, jousting and live music, which will make a perfect weekend out for the whole family. Southwell Minster are also hosting a free Jubilee Lunch on Sunday 5th June. An open-to-all street party, you can expect music, games and food stalls.
The Bilsthorpe Heritage Museum are hoting a free Queen's Platinum Jubilee Exhibition of Royal memorabilia which they have collected over the years. It will be held on the lawn at the rear of the museum, with tea, coffee and cakes all provided free of charge.
Over at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, The Limelight Orchestra will bring you the music of James Bond in 007 Forever Diamond The Music of James Bond. The gig is on Sunday 4th June, making it the perfect event to see off this quintessential British weekend.
Join the May Half Term and Jubilee Weekend at Clumber Park and enjoy a range of activities for the whole family, including lawn games, jive dancing and a sports day. Over at Bolsover Castle, you can see historic performers, enjoy hands-on activities and get some fresh-air while having fun with the whole family.
Stop by Southwell Minster for a free Big Julee Lunch, or try your hand at some adventure sports at Holme Pierrepont Country Park – the home of the National Watersports Centre. If you’re feeling like doing something unique, stop by Belvoir Castle and enjoy a variety of fun events including food stalls, live music and jousting (pictured)!

Getting around
Enjoy Nottingham's nightlife and take advantage of Nottingham City Transport's fantastic evening offer in June and July! Everyone can travel from any stop for just £1 a journey after 7pm. Find out more info on their website here.
A special NCT bus ticket will also be available to families over the Queens Platinum Jubilee to encourage use over the extended bank holiday weekend. The special ticket will allow a family of 5 to travel around the City for as little as £8.
