Start Date(s): 2 March 2024, 10 July 2024
NTU City Campus
Course Fee: £435
This course will provide you with the techniques required for creating fullness in your garments, producing new shapes and silhouettes from a body block that you have already created.
It's suitable for people who are interested in further developing their skills in womenswear, and is ideal if you have completed the 'Pattern Drafting and Cutting for Beginners' course or have a sewing background and have used commercial or shop-bought patterns.
This course will start by refreshing your knowledge of how to take measurements correctly and how to draft pattern pieces from a block.
There will also be a reminder about fabric lay planning, fabric marking and cutting, and toile assembly and fitting. You will then move quickly on to learning how to create fullness.
