Embark on a journey of self-discovery through drama this Spring with the Open Space Theatre School! Over three days, a unique theatrical experience will be crafted based on individual ideas. The program guarantees a lively and secure atmosphere conducive to personal growth and confidence-building. The exploration of the empty space will be a collective endeavor, filling it with drama through movement, voice, and improvisation, uncovering the inherent dramatic potential within each child.
Participants will delve into the realms of stagecraft, including scenic design, sound, lighting, costumes, and makeup. The curriculum also covers physical theatre, voice projection, and improvisation, allowing attendees to refine these skills for narrating their own stories. The immersive experience unfolds in the state-of-the-art facilities of The Squire Performing Arts Centre at Nottingham Girls' High School.
This extraordinary holiday program caters to children aged 8 – 18 and is facilitated by David Purveur, a seasoned professional actor, director, and speech and drama teacher.
