Under the legendary Brian Clough, Forest cemented their place in history with two unforgettable League Cup victories. In 1989, they saw off Luton Town 3-1 at Wembley, with Nigel Clough's double and Neil Webb's goal securing the silverware. A year later, they defended their crown in style, defeating Oldham Athletic 1-0, thanks to a decisive Nigel Jemson goal that ensured Cloughie's men lifted the trophy once again.
