Newark Market Town
Discover the magic and playfulness of words at Newark Book Festival, set across the stunning market town on the fringe of Nottinghamshire.
This year, join the festival as it explores "The Power of Play" across four days filled with imagination, creativity and words. Book tickets to author book talks featuring both local gems and global voices and take home your new home library collection.
Over the four days, you will be introduced to over 70 writers and storytellers in over 50 events taking place in iconic venues across Newark. The book festival programme showcases words from crime fiction and mystery, fantasy and time travel, history and nature, sports, music, and comedy, with events suitable for young children, families, teens, young adults, and adults alike.
Be immersed in the festival’s vibrant street theatre, enchanting children’s storytelling sessions and free family activities across the town over the four days, and at Newark Castle grounds on the Sunday. Take part in creative writing workshops, thought-provoking panel debates, special book events and don't miss the Literature Village nestled amongst Newark's charming Market Square.
Award-winning and best-selling book titles and authors are among the festival line-up, including:
