Catch 9 to 5 The Musical from 7th - 9th March at Nottingham Arts Theatre. Set in the 1970s, this musical tells the story of three female co-workers pushed to boiling point – who come up with a plan to become even with their unlikeable boss. When the tables turn, Violet, Judy and Doralee end up getting rid of their boss! They makeover the workplace and take the lead of the company that had been getting them down. They are also performing Les Miserables from 13th - 16th March, which would make a fantastic gift for any musical theatre lover.
For the Music Lover
If your mum loves music, why not check out Ben Portsmouth: This is Elvis at the Royal Concert Hall? Celebrating the life of an iconic showman and telling the story of the King through the show, they will take you on a trip down memory lane with two barnstorming sets of many of Elvis' most loved songs from all eras such as the 1950s, the iconic '68 Comeback Special, and Ben's personal favourite, the 1970s Vegas concerts.
Tony Hadley is also stopping by the Royal Concert Hall on Tuesday 12th March. He will perform some of the greatest swing songs from a classic era of music, alongside some stylish reworkings of his own classic hits. The Big Swing Tour will see Tony perform songs by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, and Frank Sinatra; alongside solo songs as well as Spandau hits like ‘True’ and ‘Gold’ that introduced the world to his iconic voice
Peggy’s Skylight are hosting The Hits of Whitney with Janine Johnson on Friday 8th March. Janine Johnson has the voice, the soul and the power to take on the repertoire of one of the greatest soul singers of all time – no easy task! An evening of Whitney Houston classic and timeless hits.

Comedy in Notts
Just the Tonic has been producing comedy shows in Nottingham for over 25 years. Described by many comedians as one of the best comedy venues in the country. With their notorious reputation for line ups, you can be sure you are getting one of the best nights in town! You can expect four different acts at every Standard Saturday show including some of the best up & coming comperes and headliners from the UK & abroad. Doors open from 6.45pm so you can have a pre show chat and grab some drinks from the bar. Shows start at 8pm, so you get your laughs in then make further plans for the night.
Catch Michael McIntyre’s MACNIFICENT Tour at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham from Friday 8th - Sunday 10th March. Much has happened in the five years since his last tour and Michael will be making mirth from the madness of it all. Michael is the host of two of the BBC's most successful entertainment shows, the BAFTA-winning Michael McIntyre's Big Show and The Wheel, which he devised and also hosts for NBC in America.
Catch Sam Lake: Aspiring DILF at the Canalhouse on Tuesday 12th March and learn about the positive role models in his life that taught him to be a good guy. But who in his life has that BDE (Big Daddy energy)? Is it Claire, the office manager & Sam's bestie? Join him on his journey to Daddy-dom, as he chats about Furbies, Butlins & scandalous interactions with a rugby team.
