Free monthly informal Scottish-style ceilidh sessions at Copper City Nottingham on the last Wednesday of each month throughout 2025!

After the success of January's ceilidh sessions, Shuggie is back with more of the same for most months throughout the year.

Expect dancing from 8pm till 10pm either in the bar area or upstairs in the function room depending on other events in the venue.

Whether you're a total ceilidh ninja or a total newbie, it's all about having a laugh, getting on the dance floor, having fun, and being social and inclusive. Expect lively tunes (recorded music), easy-to-follow dances, and plenty of good Scottish vibes!

Bring your mates, bring your sense of humour (or just bring yourself and they'll sort the rest) – all welcome, all ages, all fun!

Whilst these are free sessions, due to capacity restrictions (it's not a big dance floor in the bar or the function room) please register your interest on the Eventbrite ceilidh pages so the organisers have an idea of numbers.

You don't need to have attended the previous one to come along to the next session.

These ceilidhs will be recorded to improve both the dancer's experience i.e. how the dances are called and to advertise future ceilidhs.

If you don't want to be included in any of these promotional videos, please let the event organisers know on the night.

Lastly, please don't take your own alcohol into the venue - buy your drinks from the bar and the water is free.
