Heritage Open Days - Bromley House Library Tour

About

15th September | 2024 | Bookable slots from 10.30am - 3pm
Bromley House Library
Free but pre-booking essential

A self-guided exploration of the Nottingham's very own "secret library".

Visit Bromley House Library with the whole family; exploring the library's longstanding connections to the city of Nottingham and its literary heritage.

Explore Bromley House Library with the whole family! For 2024, the library will be focusing on our connections with Nottingham City for Heritage Open Day.  Trails for younger visitors, hands-on activities in conservation work at Bromley House and explorations of our Georgian Garden will be open throughout the day. Rarely seen special collections relating to Nottingham authors will be on display in Neville Hoskin's Reading Room; including some of the unique works showcased in our Byron at Bromley exhibition for the Byron200 events this year.

Bromley House Library is a Georgian gem with beautiful rooms, over 50,000 books and a lovely and unique walled garden. Learn more about how the library works, its quirky traditions and unusual features. For those who would like to explore further, we welcome new membership applications - so this is an opportunity to find out more about becoming part of the Bromley House community.

Advance booking is essential.

Access:

The library is spread across four floors and regrettably has no level access, or a lift. If you have any questions about access or this event please contact the library direct on 01159 473134 or e-mail enquiries@bromleyhouse.org.
