Green's Windmill and Science Centre
Free events
Visit Green's Windmill for a special exhibition to celebrate Heritage Open Days. Learn more about famous mathematician George Green, view photos of the mill's restoration and read the many press cuttings.
Green's Windmill is a restored and working 19th Century tower mill, once home to mathematical physicist George Green. For Heritage Open Days there will be a special exhibition about the history of the mill using excerpts from our extensive archive. In the adjacent science centre, discover the remarkable story of Green and experiment with the things that fascinated him, such as light, electricity and magnetism. After your visit explore the award-winning community garden, much like a typical garden from Green's day. There's something for all the family!
