As the festive season approaches, Nottinghamshire comes to life with Christmas lights and decorations adorning shops and buildings. 

A magical Winter Wonderland will come to life in Nottingham while our towns and villages will be illuminated as Christmas events take place at the end of November and beginning of December 2024.  

Light Trails & Shows in Nottinghamshire 

White Post Farm are teaming up with the brilliant Gloworm Festival this festive season to bring you an enchanting Light Post Farm light trail! Wander through the 1km festive farm trail illuminated by sparkling lights, and enjoy a variety of seasonal delights. Your admission includes access to the Mini Christmas Market, where you can indulge in hot chocolate, roast marshmallows, and savor sweet treats. Join Ginger Snap to decorate gingerbread or create some magical reindeer dust to take home for Christmas Eve. This will be available every Thursday to Sunday from 21st November to 22nd December.

Witness a Charles Dickens' timeless Christmas classic come to life in the night sky for a captivating new animated drone light show, A Christmas Carol Drone Light Show on 7th & 8th December. Witness famous characters brought to life in the sky, as you're taken on a heart-warming narrated journey through the immortal tale of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve and his ghostly visitors who lead him to profound transformation.

Wheelgate Park invites guests to its enchanting Ride and Light Trail Illumination Evenings. From 5pm to 7.30pm, visitors can immerse themselves in stunning light displays and themed rides that create a fairytale wonderland of twinkling bulbs and festive cheer. These magical evenings are available on various dates in December and January.

Christmas at Twinlakes transforms as the sun sets, as the park come alive with awe-inspiring light displays and twinkling decorations that create a magical atmosphere. Capture unforgettable family memories as you stroll through shimmering tunnels and arches, perfect for those envy-inducing photos! You can also get into the Christmas spirit with gingerbread decorating, Christmas treasure hunts, and festive workshops. 

Wrap up warm and get ready for a silly Elf adventure at Conkers Winter Wonderland 2024! Santa's Chief Elf and his team will send you through Watersides Enchanted Forest and the Valley of Christmas Lights to discover Santa's Woodland Grotto. Upon arrival, each adult receives their voucher for mulled wine and a special treat, and children are given a delicious treat during the Winter Wonderland Walk!

Christmas lights switch-on events in Nottinghamshire

Join the National Ice Centre at their Winter Family Fun Day & Christmas Light Switch On for a day of entertainment suitable for all ages, including their Christmas Light Switch On launching the countdown to Christmas Day! You can enjoy a host of free activities both on the ice and off the ice throughout the day starting from 12pm.
