The National Ice Centre are excited to reveal their Christmas events and festive skating sessions for 2024!
You can meet Santa, skate with some festive friends and enjoy lots of fun themed parties! Here's a taster of what they have in store…
Santa's Grotto – 21st - 24th December
Meet the jolly old man himself, share your Christmas wishes, and capture precious memories. Surrounded by twinkling lights and the spirit of the season, your little ones will be captivated by the enchantment of Santa’s magical world.
Winter Family Fun Day & Christmas Light Switch on at National Ice Centre - Sunday 1st December
Join the National Ice Centre at their Winter Family Fun Day for a day of entertainment suitable for all ages!
Great Santa Skate - Thursday 12th December
Join the National Ice Centre for a magical ice skating experience! Dress as Santa and skate to your favourite Christmas tunes. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Mission Christmas, a charity dedicated to bringing joy to children in need.
Christmas Holiday Club at the National Ice Centre - Decemebr & January
For just £35 per day, children can join the National Ice Centre at their Holiday Club for fun activities and ice skating everyday between 8.30am - 5.30pm! Each day will be full of sporting activities, perfectly planned to enhance co-ordination, agility, and develop a wide range of other skills ready to transfer onto the ice. Children will then put all these into practice as our staff help them learn some basic skating skills, designed to improve their experience of ice skating.
Festive Parent & Tots Sessions - 23rd, 24th and 30th December
Designed especially for parents with pre-schoolers, little ones can take to the ice and grow confidence at their own pace while they skate with the ice equipment. The entire ice rink is exclusively for little ones and parents/guardians only so there will be no older children on the ice. Pushchairs and prams are welcome on the ice with children receiving stickers after your skate.
