Saturday 5 July 2025 I 11pm - 4pm
Knit Nottingham, city centre
Tickets: £65pp
Oksana joins us to teach beginner rug hooking.
Rug hooking is both an art and a craft where rugs are made by pulling loops of yarn or fabric through a woven base such as hessian. The loops are pulled through by using a rug hook, similar to a crochet hook, to create the loop. You will learn the technique of rug hugging and the various methods used in creating these rugs. After practising on a piece of hessian, you will then draw a design on a small hessian bag which you will take away at the end of the day to finish at leisure.
Equipment, hessian scissors and scrap fabric will all be supplied on the day but if you have any scrap of you own you wish to use, please bring them along.
Refreshments are provides and you'll also receive 10% off in the Knit Nottingham shop on the day of the event (excluding sale items).
