Luisa's Vegan Chocolates | Visit Nottinghamshire

About

We believe that our chocolate sets us apart not only in taste but in the transparent journey behind each bar. We directly source the world's very best tasting beans from conscientious farmers who truly look after their crops and manage their business in the most ethical and sustainable way. We believe in sourcing the best, paying farmers more, and working together to create the world's finest chocolate.

Luisa's Vegan Chocolates is the only business that actually makes chocolate from bean-to-bar, rather than buying in chocolate from a factory and remoulding it. This is the determining factor that sets bean-to-bar chocolate makers apart from chocolatiers, and it's a highly-skilled artisan craft. Luisa handcrafts all her chocolate from bean-to-bar at her little chocolate makery in Sneinton Market, Nottingham. Upon visiting, you'll be able to see that the shop is attached to the chocolate makery, and your senses will be encapsulated by seeing and smelling the chocolate being made, on-site.

The small, ethical business has received over 25+ prestigious awards for their excellent chocolate, have been featured countless times in The Guardian and The Observer newspaper, and have also been written about in BBC World News and Grazia Magazine, as well as being used in dishes from Michelin-star chefs.

The chocolate-crazy team have been out to visit the volcanic islands they source from, to build incredibly strong relationships with farmers. Taking this a step further, Luisa is an advocate for female cocoa farmers in Colombia, and conducted a project to teach them how to grow & ferment 'premium quality' cocoa using science. This has changed the lives of the women, and other cacao growing communities worldwide. Find out more about the story on Luisa's website.

There is something for everyone, ranging from white & m*lk, all the way to beautiful single origin dark chocolate bars up to 100%. Plus, there's a range of luxurious truffles, which are perfect for treating yourself or someone else.
