The Nottingham branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has hosted one of the UK’s premier beer and cider festivals each October for over 45 years, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

In 2021 the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival was held at the iconic Trent Bridge Cricket Ground for the first time. The festival holds the world record for the largest number of different draught real ales sold at any festival, with around 1000 different beers to choose from each year, including many from local breweries.

In addition it offers around 200 different real ciders and perries, again amongst the largest range of such drinks on offer at any festival in the world, specialising in the smaller independent producers.

Throughout the year they organise a range of beer and cider trails during the course of the year which are intended to promote a particular style of drink and encourage pub-goers to visit a range of different venues during the trail period.
