We’re all familiar with the joys of a walk through the countryside, but there’s no denying that a stroll through the city has a charm of its own. Nottingham city centre is relatively compact, yet boasts a variety of stunning architecture and endless secrets and surprises to discover – making it an ideal place to explore on foot.
Gaze up at the domed grandeur of the Nottingham Council House through the bubbling fountains of Old Market Square, meander amongst the ancient streets and redbrick mills of the Lace Market and get a glimpse of some of the shiny new developments in the Broadmarsh area. Stumble across hundreds of hidden gems amongst the curious alleyways and boutique arcades - and don’t forget to look up and see the Watson Fothergill architectural treasures on almost every street corner.
