45 reviewsWolds Wine Estate provides the perfect setting for your relaxing glamping getaway. Four stunning and spacious glamping pods overlook the vineyard set in 11 acres of peaceful Nottinghamshire Wolds countryside. Spend your glamping evenings sat out on the sundeck, listening to the birds with a glass of wine in hand as the sun sets over the vineyard. Utter bliss.
The four beautiful glamping pods are superior to standard with spacious living areas, large arched windows providing lots of natural light, comfy bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and private bathrooms. Outside the large raised private sun decks provide majestic vineyard views and there is even your own herb patch with mint for your cocktail sundowners. A BBQ firepit is provided for alfresco cooking and there is plenty of outdoor space for kids to explore whilst adults unwind in the vineyard hammocks.
Wolds Wine Estate is superbly placed for those who like to stay active. With two footpaths running through the vineyard you are just steps away from some wonderful walks – including a short walk to the local country pub! Other walks stop off at farm shops, chocolateries and restaurants. Cyclists will enjoy epic rides through the Nottinghamshire Wolds and Vale of Belvoir. Whilst golfers are just a 5-minute walk from Stanton-on-the-Wolds Golf Course.
For families there are several local attractions such as theme parks, water parks, farms and, of course, the legend of Robin Hood to explore. Board games and outdoor games are also available at Wolds Wine Estate for the kids to stay entertained.
With great nightlife close by in Nottingham and numerous award-winning eateries nearby, Wolds Wine Estate really does provide a perfect getaway for everyone. More information about things to do, walking maps, cycling maps and food and drink experiences can be found on Wolds Wine Estate website.
Wolds Wine Estate also accommodates hen parties and large family gatherings, although all pods will need to be hired for any hen parties. Social areas for large groups to get together include the Hen House and BarN. The Hen House is a large, decked area with small shelter – perfect for group alfresco dining with views over the vineyard. Whilst the BarN is an old barn providing some indoor space if required. Group activities such as wine tasting, cocktail making, flower-crown making, and yoga can be arranged.
The vineyard itself has 4,000 vines with five different varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier, Rondo and Solaris. The vines will be in their establishment phase with the first harvest planned in 2023. Wolds Wine Estate own brand wine will then be ready for tasting in 2024. But it’s not just wine, a traditional orchard was planted in 2022 with cider being made ready for 2023. The Estate also has its own bees producing delicious floral honey.
