Their Story -
Their story is all about "kaizen," which means 'good change' and is the philosophy that defines them. It's at the core of everything they do, shaping every dish and driving them to constantly find better ways. These guys are like restless spirits, always creating and improving.
They've been all about kaizen since 1992 when they first opened their doors in London's Bloomsbury. Inspired by the lively vibes of Japanese ramen bars and a love for Asian food, wagamama came to life. They aimed to create a unique way of eating, bringing the fresh and nourishing flavors of Asia to everyone.
Fast forward over 30 years, and they've had three whole decades to sharpen their skills and perfect their recipes. They've been playing with spices and discovering new tastes in their noodle lab, and they're still getting better every day.
Their food -
Their food is all about making you feel refreshed and satisfied. They start with a base of noodles or rice to give you that energy boost, throw in some quality protein and good fats to keep you going, load up on fresh crunchy veggies to nourish you, and top it off with spices, sauces, and steaming broths to set your taste buds on fire. And hey, they've got desserts, fresh juices, hot drinks, wine, sake, and some expertly crafted Asian beers too. It's all about that simple, balanced soul food, freshly made every day in their open kitchens.
And let's talk about kaizen – their standards are sky-high. Every bowl and plate they serve hits the table as soon as it's good to go. The colors, aromas, flavors, and spices are always at their absolute best when they land in front of you.
