About

This Nottingham suburb is now a hotspot for charming food, drink and retail outlets, and the close proximity of the major sporting grounds (Trent Bridge, the National Water Sports Centre and Nottingham Forest's City Ground) mean that this area is often a hive of activity.

Nearby to Trent Bridge, you'll find plenty of superb bars and cafes, including the recently refurbished Waterside Bar and Kitchen and Stratford Haven. You can also head a little further along the road to the welcoming Poppy and Pint, a firm favourite with locals.

In the heart of West Bridgford, Central Avenue is the main place for shops and bars, cafés and restaurants, like the stylish Copper Café Bar. Just a few streets away you'll find the award-winning Hambleton Bakery - a must-visit for their amazing selection of real bread and delightful sweet treats.

Only around a mile from Nottingham City Centre, West Bridgford provides a very local and friendly feel, it wasn't uncommon back in the day to find a certain Mr Brian Clough in the local paper shop! Definitely worth a visit whether you're a sports fan or not.
