This weekend, we had the absolute pleasure of soaking up the excitement at the Motorpoint Arena as the Nottingham Panthers faced off against Coventry Blaze. And what a night it was!

The occasion was extra special as it was the Panthers’ annual Pride Night, celebrating inclusivity and raising funds for Base 51’s Outburst programme, a wonderful cause supporting the local LGBTQ+ community. Paws, the Panthers’ lovable mascot, stole the show before the puck even dropped, decked out in vibrant Pride colours and keeping the fans entertained with his usual antics.

The arena was buzzing long before the game began, with music pumping through the stands and fans getting into the spirit of things. As face-off approached, the excitement was palpable, and once the players hit the ice, it was game on!

What followed was two hours of heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat action, ending in a 2-1 win for the Panthers! The pace was fast, the play was fierce, and both teams brought their A-game, making for an exhilarating match, but the fun didn’t stop there...the atmosphere inside the Motorpoint Arena was electric from start to finish and inbetween plays, the energy stayed high with the crowd getting involved in fan favourites like dance cam, bongo cam, and even kiss cam!

It’s safe to say that a Nottingham Panthers game is so much more than just hockey, it’s a full-blown experience. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or a first-time visitor, it’s the perfect mix of high-intensity sport and pure entertainment for everyone watching.

If you missed it, don’t worry! The Nottingham Panthers are back in action tonight, hosting Glasgow Clan at the Motorpoint Arena in the Challenge Cup. Face-off is at 7.30pm, don’t miss out on the chance to experience it all for yourself!
