1. Hockley Hustle
Sunday 20th October | Various times and venues | £10.99 - £22
Hockley Hustle brings 400 artists to 50 venues dotted around the streets of Hockley for a day of live music, raising money for local charities.
There’s no better way to get a snapshot of the vibrancy of a city and the health of its music scene than picking up a wristband to catch as many of the homegrown local acts on the bill as possible.
No festival attendees’ day will look the same with so many options to personally curate a meander through live performances, choirs, orchestras, spoken word, carnival parades, silent discos, the Hustle after party, street food and much more.
It’s a great way to explore all amazing venues the length and breadth of Hockley and beyond from the well known haunts of Broadway Cinema, The Bodega and Rough Trade to new additions to the Hustle such as The Bath Inn and Saltbox.
2. Apple Day at Stonebridge City Farm
Saturday 19th October | Stonebridge City Farm | Free entry although some activities may have a small charge
Celebrate Apple Day at Stonebridge City Farm! Join the team from Sneinton Cider Company who will be on site and will be on hand to discuss all things apples.
There will be the opportunity to try freshly pressed apples juice, with games and activities throughout the day to enjoy.
The farm has had a bountiful crop of apples this year which is already on its way to be made into cider.
3. Bavarian Oompah Nights at Conkers
Saturday 19th October | Conkers | Doors open: 6.45pm, supper time: 7.30pm, show starts at: 8pm | Tickets: £29.95pp (free parking)
Venture down and enjoy this live music oompah show with a delicious meal!
Join for their brilliant Bavarian Night in our Forest Hall and celebrate in true Oktoberfest style.
Karl's Brass, one of the best Oompah Bands in the country will be your hosts for the evening. Hot themed German supper included.
The evening program starts with background music whilst everyone gets seated and ready to roll. Their lovely waiting team will be introduced to you all and this is when the party starts. By this time everyone will have a stein in hand and will be preparing for the some musicians, with some more music, party spirit games and some competitions to ensure a vibrant atmosphere is created.
4. Halloween Trail at Belvoir Castle

5. Halloween Trail at Thoresby Park
Saturday 19th October - Sunday 3rd November | Thoresby Park | 9am - 5pm | £2.50 per trail sheet
Thoresby Park's Halloween Trail, the perfect spooky day out this October half term! Follow the map around Thoresby Park to find the hidden spooky characters to win a toy prize at the end! Trail sheets are available from the Visitor Centre.
Thoresby Park is a lovely place to visit all year round with a range of attractions for all the family no matter how young or old. The extensive grounds cover over 1000 acres of rich unspoilt English countryside, with a range of facilities and attractions open to the public all year round.
