1. Nottinghamshire ‘Pick Your Own’ Pumpkins
Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th October | Oaks Lane, Oxton, Southwell | Free entry
Set in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside a few miles north of Nottingham, this family-run 'Pick Your Own' has 1000's of pumpkins and squashes for you to choose from in October, and in the summer, thousands of sunflowers!
Since 2019 Nottinghamshire ‘Pick Your Own’ Pumpkins has quickly risen to being one of the most popular pick-your-owns in the Midlands, if not the UK, with visitors travelling from all over the country!
Little Schnauzer Coffee Company and Rocket Dogs will have pop up eateries at the event. Little Schnauzer serve the most delicious food including panini’s, crêpes, home-made cakes, ice-cream and hot and cold drinks, including seasonal favourites! Rocket Dogs serve an incredible range of hot-dogs and fries. Be sure to visit them and fill-up after a busy time picking your pumpkins!

2. Nottingham Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival 2024
Wednesday 9th - Saturday 12th October | Trent Bridge Cricket Ground | Tickets: £16 - £27
The Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival returns to Trent Bridge this weekend!
Brewery bars representing Castle Rock, Blue Monkey, Black Iris, Bang The Elephant, Lincoln Green, Thornbridge, Nottingham Brewery, Lenton Lane, Shipstone’s and others will stand alongside stillages of quality real ales from many other esteemed brewers across the country, as the festival returns with access to new areas and a jam-packed live music programme.
NEW FOR 2024: As well as individual day tickets there is a new Season Ticket option which gives admission to all public sessions. There is also a new Party Night ticket which allows entry after 7pm on the Saturday evening.
3. Guided Walk Around Historic Sneinton
Saturday 12th October | Green's Windmill and Science Centre | 2pm-4pm | £5 per person
Join Champion of Nottingham, local hero and Chairman of Green's Windmill Trust Tom Huggon for a guided walk around historic Sneinton.
This walk will take in St Stephen's Church, Bendigo Statue, the birthplace of William Booth and the heart of the conservation area amongst others, and will provide the opportunity to learn about some of the hidden gems and little known facts of this fascinating district.
4. Rufford's Halloween Trail
Saturday 12th October – Sunday 3rd November | Rufford Abbey Country Park | 10am – 3pm | £2.50 per child
Get ready for a spooktacular adventure this Halloween at Rufford Abbey Country Park! From 12th October to 3rd November, the popular Rufford Halloween Trail returns, offering frightful family fun in the eerie, atmospheric woods. Visitors are encouraged to dress in their spookiest costumes and explore the mysterious forest paths, where ghostly surprises lurk around every corner. The adventure continues by the lake, where even more chilling delights await those brave enough to venture that far.

5. Print Fair Contemporary
Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th October (Preview evening on Friday 11 October) | Nottingham Contemporary | Free Entry
Nottingham Contemporary are excited to return this year with Print Fair Contemporary, taking place across Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October, with a launch evening on Friday 11 October.
Held in their large performance Space, the print fair will have over 30 stalls, showcasing a wide range of printmakers, illustrators, artists, designers, zine artists and textile designers working across the wide variety of print specialisms including screen print, lino print, risograph, etching and other print techniques.
